Isolate Yourself and Think

It’s too hard to sit and think these days. Anywhere you go, you go with your music collection thanks to smartphones, providing the essential distraction from anything.

Everyday, going to school and back, I am on a bus for three hours. Throughout the entire time, I’m listening to music. Why? Honestly, I don’t know why. I just put my earbuds in and conk out. Once my earbuds are in, I get constant stimulation. This constant stimulation is not necessary. Think back to the olden days, where people didn’t have radios or anything of the sort. Music then was a rare pleasure. If you can get away from the city, away from other people, and away from your own devices, you can truly think. You can become aware of yourself.

Isolate yourself and think.
